Robert Half Accounts Payable Specialist in Arlington, Virginia

Description

We are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team based in Arlington, Virginia. In this role, you will be handling vital accounting tasks, such as managing and processing accounts payable, check runs, and invoice coding. This role is a key part of our finance team, ensuring that all financial data is processed with accuracy and efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the accounts payable process, ensuring all financial data is accurately recorded.

• Conduct regular check runs to keep our financial operations running smoothly.

• Code invoices effectively, assigning the right costs to the right accounts.

• Utilize your skills in account reconciliation to ensure all financial data aligns and is correctly recorded.

• Utilize software systems such as Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP to keep track of financial data and generate reports.

• Handle data entry tasks, ensuring all information is accurately inputted into our systems.

• Process invoices, ensuring all are handled in a timely manner and paid by the due date.

• Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts or inconsistencies.

• Maintain accurate and complete financial records for auditing purposes.

• Resolve any issues or discrepancies in financial reports and statements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in an Accounts Payable role

• Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP)

• Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices

• Skilled in Data Entry and Invoice Processing

• Advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle and QuickBooks software

• Familiarity with SAP

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work accurately, with attention to detail

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field preferred

• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

• Must be able to work independently and collaboratively with a team.
