TransCore (TRN), a subsidiary of ST Engineering, is seeking a Technician II to join our team in Arlington, Texas.
Job Summary: This Technician II position performs on-site or in-house servicing, repair and/or installation of company product(s). This job may include any aspect of field support and installation, and is not limited to electrical, data, and fiber optic cable installation; conduit and pull box installation; troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, systems, and wiring; installation of equipment; upgrades, modifications, programming; preventive maintenance actions; documentation. Determines most effective means to install equipment to maximize efficiency.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Installs equipment including but not limited to IP based cameras, antennas, detectors, network equipment, controller cabinets.
- Install and troubleshoot electrical conductors, data conductors, fiber optic cables.
- Uses in-house software to troubleshoot system issues.
- Terminates conductors to equipment including CAT6 cables.
- Connects electrical conductors to power services to energize equipment.
- Tests multiple devices to ensure they work correctly.
- Enters detailed information on electronic work orders.
Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate's degree desirable.
