Job Summary
The Office of Information Technology at UT Arlington provides premier solutions and support to our Maverick Community. We are a team of highly skilled professionals who approach our work with pride, respect and a shared sense of community.
The Identity and Access Management Analyst III is responsible for delivering identity, access, and authentication services. The position considers topics such as future state planning, implementation, automation, governance, privileged access, and identity lifecycle management.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develops, populates, documents and maintains the campus enterprise directory, directory connectors and account provisioning systems.
Identifies and resolves modeling and integration issues.
Establishes data access security profiles, develops backup procedures and disaster recovery procedures for IAM applications and maintains audit trails of security maintenance activity.
Works with information technology architects, database administrators, and information security and compliance units to develop access and authentication models.
Maintains current technical knowledge and skills necessary to support the defined system architecture model.
Responsible for troubleshooting and root cause analysis of IAM-related service-impacting issues.
Provides guidance on the development of metrics, KPI’s, and reports needed to measure the health and status of services. Produces relevant reports to monitor, report, and evaluate these statistics.
Performs other duties assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related fields.
Minimum of at least three (3) of recent full-time Identity and Access Management experience in the following areas:
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Server.
Experience with one or more enterprise directories (e.g. OpenLDAP, Active Directory).
Experience with SSO authentication and federation identities (e.g. Azure SSO, Shibboleth).
Experience with scripting languages (e.g. PowerShell, Python).
Skilled at troubleshooting issues that can be complex and include multiple systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Eight (8) or more years of IT experience including at least five (5) years of strong IAM coding, implementation, support, and administration.
Experience installing, configuring, and running Shibboleth and Azure SSO.
Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining LDAP services with Directory and AD.
Experience developing middleware and/or applications that interact with databases, LDAP, and 3rd party services that may include vendor API’s and/or/SDKs.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Hands-on scripting and development skills (Java, SQL, or PowerShell)
Hands-on experience Active Directory and other directory technologies.
Ability to provide excellent customer service
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form to a variety of constituents at varying levels of authority within the organization
Ability to think intuitively and analytically to break down and resolve problems
Ability to read, understand, and follow high-level policies and guidelines and apply those guidelines to daily responsibilities.

Applicants for this position must pass a Criminal Justice Information Systems (CJIS) fingerprint-based background check and maintain CJIS eligibility. Due to CJIS requirements related to system access, the following will result in being disqualified for this position: Felony Convictions, Felony Deferred Adjudication, Class A Misdemeanor Conviction, Class B Misdemeanor Convictions in the last 10 years, Class A Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication, Class B Misdemeanor Deferred Adjudication in the last 10 years, an Open Arrest for Any Criminal Offense (Felony or Misdemeanor), and ALL Family Violence Convictions regardless of class.
