Job Summary
Provide assistance in the operation, maintenance, and repair of Thermal Energy Plant equipment, systems and structures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Operate all equipment in the plant in an efficient, safe and effective manner.
Perform and assist in the preventative maintenance and repairs of all plant equipment.
Read and record pressures, temperatures, fluid levels, and other operating conditions of the plant equipment.
Serve in the after-hours service call center and relay messages to the proper personnel as to maintain smooth campus operations.
Conduct water analysis on cooling towers and boilers to ensure proper levels of chemicals in the system to maintain a scale and corrosive free system.
Ability to drive UTA vehicle.
Performs other duties assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
High School diploma/GED
Two (2) years of related experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Two (2) years of experience in the operation and maintenance of a central utility plant.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the functions of a central utility plant.
Knowledge of building automation systems (i.e., Siemens, Johnson controls, etc.).
Knowledge of basic computer skills (MS Office).
