Work hours: Full Time (40 Hour) Day Shift; Monday – Friday 7:30A – 4:00P; Rotating Call

Here’s What You Need
Education
Other Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology required Or
Associate's Degree preferred
Experience
2 years experience in MRI required and
1 year hospital experience preferred
Licenses and Certifications
ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists MRI upon hire required And
CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist Either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required And
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required
What You Will Do
TEAM LEADER RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversee daily operations of all assigned areas
Monitor, manage, and approve staffing levels
Provide leadership to employees of assigned areas
Participate in employee evaluations and coaching/counseling sessions of assigned areas
Ensure patient satisfaction of assigned areas
IMAGING, QUALITY AND PROCESSING:
Explains the procedures to patient or guardian/family member if applicable prior to exam to improve understanding of procedure according to age-specific needs and according to patient's learning capacity and language barriers.
Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest to properly collimate and shield according to ALARA concert.
Performs complex radiographic procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations according to departmental policies and procedures.
Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factors and body habits to compensate for attenuation properties based on tissue types and pathology.
Processes and manipulates images on CR reader to assure correct anatomical and positioning markers are used, correct patient information is on images.
PATIENT CARE:
Uses multidisciplinary, team oriented actions to ensure the continuity of patient care.
Prepares room for examination (i.e. suction, oxygen, supplies) to ensure apparatus is in working order and ready to use to reduce patient risk.
Checks physician orders by initialing chart and exam requisitions to verify accuracy of exam and relevant clinical information.
Greets and acknowledges patient, using two forms of ID to identify correct patient and exam by checking DOB and ID number/name.
Obtain patient history and ensure in consultation with radiologist.
EQUIPMENT OPERATIONS AND MAINTENANCE:
Adjusts technical factors to compensate for clinical diagnosis and patient condition.
Operates, cares for the maintains all equipment to provide proper utilization of apparatus.
Applies knowledge of physic and accessories to maintain acceptable image quality.
Troubleshoots and properly documents equipment malfunction to ensure timely repairs and patient safety.
Maintain equipment and room to sanitary standards to create a safe environment and follow infection control standards.
PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTABILITY:
Maintain and enhances technical skills and technology advancement to enhance professional contribution.
Uses corporate philosophy to work in partnership with patients, families, co-workers and physicians to enhance customer service and promote patient desired outcomes.
Recognizes and communicates ethical and legal concerns through established channels of communication for well being and safety of patient.
Flexible and schedules and workload assignments to the changing needs in order to facilitate quality patient care and the needs of the department.
CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT:
Identify and troubleshoot work flow process to suggest department or hospital process improvements.
Participates in departmental quality improvement processes to improve the quality of customer service and patient-family journey.
Attends departmental continuing education, meetings, and checks email in a timely manner to improve communication and customer service, and professional development.
