Robert Half Accounts Payable Clerk in Arlington, Tennessee

Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team on a part-time basis. The successful candidate will assist with various accounting tasks, with a primary focus on accounts payable. This role is crucial in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accounts Payable Management: Enter tickets daily and reconcile them to invoices.

  • Reconciliation: Perform monthly reconciliation of payables to vendor statements.

  • Data Entry: Utilize accounting software to enter payables and print checks.

  • Timesheet Management: Responsible for managing truckers' timesheets and ensuring accurate records.

  • Documentation: Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

Qualifications:

  • Excel Proficiency: Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel for data entry and reconciliation tasks.

  • Accounts Payable Experience: Strong understanding of the accounts payable process and best practices.

  • Accounting Knowledge: Understanding of debits and credits and their impact on financial statements.

  • Trustworthiness: Must be reliable and able to handle sensitive financial information with discretion.

Additional Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
