Job Title: Forklift Operator and Material Handler (Night Shift)

Job Description

As a Warehouse Operator (Night Shift), you will ensure all warehouse tasks are well-organized and completed in a timely manner as determined by management. Support the Warehouse Lead and Warehouse Supervisor to establish and improve warehouse procedures and policies. You are responsible for learning, understanding, representing, and contributing to company policies, procedures, and philosophies, including completing all assigned training as required. We are a customer service-oriented business and strive to meet our customer’s needs in a safe and regulatory-compliant manner. We need employees to think creatively, be self-motivated to accommodate requests, and maintain professionalism under any circumstances.

Hard Skills

• Pull and stage product for next day delivery truck runs

• Verify order accuracy by product code, lot number, quantity & unit of issue

• Load and placard trucks

• Load and unload reconditioned trailers

• Execute in cycle counting according to standards in terms of frequency and quantity

• Resolve inventory discrepancies, investigate & correct deviations

• Report warehouse facility safety issues and organization of material issues immediately

• Daily housekeeping and cleaning of warehouse

• Operate heavy equipment (forklift; reach and sit down, pumps, hoses, valves, scales, etc.) safely

• Ensure efficient, accurate, and high-quality department operations

• Educate warehouse employees on shipping procedures

• Communicate openly with upper management

• Observe safety requirements set forth by company

• Adhere to all S.O.P.’s, work instructions, and daily checklists

• Perform other duties as assigned

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Arleta, California.

Work Environment

This job operates in a warehouse environment, working around containers of chemicals with the potential for fumes or airborne exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as ladders, electronic inventory intake devices, hand pallet jacks, forklifts, and other warehouse equipment. Wearing of required PPE is mandatory. The position involves walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, reaching, and lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling weights up to 700 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds. It requires activities involving moving forklifts, trucks, trailers, and exposure to marked changes in temperature and humidity.
