SHIFT: Full-Time, Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM

Responsibilities and Duties:
- Leadership:Lead and mentor a team of occupational health professionals, including nurses, technicians, and support staff.
- Education:
- Provide instruction for DOT certifications for drug screen collections and breath alcohol screening.
- Ensure employees are up to date on certifications and arrange education as needed.
- Certifications:Organize and maintain appropriate certifications to perform testing regarding Federal/States and Local regulations for yourself.
- Maintain Staffing:Schedule staff, maintain time and attendance and coaching of staff including annual evaluations.
- Policy and Compliance:Ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and industry standards; develop and enforce health and safety policies.
- Risk Assessment:Conduct regular workplace assessments to identify potential health hazards and implement preventive measures.
- Data Management:Analyze health data and trends to inform program improvements; maintain accurate medical records and reports.
- Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as the primary point of contact for occupational health matters, engaging with external health professionals and regulatory bodies as needed.
- Collaboration:Work closely with HR, safety officers, and management to integrate occupational health into broader organizational strategies.
- Program Development:Collaborate with Medical Officer to Design, implement, and manage comprehensive occupational health programs that address the physical and mental health needs of employees.
- Wellness Initiatives:Collaborate with Medical Officer to Develop and promote wellness programs aimed at enhancing employee health and productivity.
- Budget Management:Manage the budget for occupational health programs, ensuring efficient use of resources.
- Testing:Develop and execute employer-based screening and testing needs.
- Compliance:Ensure all records are maintained regarding appropriate ordinances
- Quality assurance:Audit and perform quality assurance.
- Maintain a professional profile:
- Effectively communicate in written and verbal business form.
- Review, maintain and update business contracts biennially
- Review and update vendor agreements and pricing annually
- Clinical: as needed
- Administer vaccinations
- Phlebotomy
- Room patients and intake for Work Comp and DOT physicals
Qualifications:
- License: Valid KS RN or LPN
- Certificates: (must be obtained in first 90 days of employment) Physical Capacity Profile testing certificate, Department of Transportation certification to perform drug screening and breath alcohol screenings.
- Prior leadership experience preferred.
