Eaton Corporation MVCA Front End Manager in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a MVCA Front End Manager. This position is ONSITE Monday-Friday at our Arden NC Eaton facility.

The MVCA Front End Manager will be responsible for one or more of the Asheville Plant’s product lines. In this role, you will be directing and leading all Medium Voltage Control Assemblies product development activities, product development budgets, participating in establishing strategic product development needs, providing support for applications/standards issues and directing and administering the career development of direct reports.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $105000.03 - $154000.04 a year.

What you’ll do:

In this role:

  • Establishes department compliance with plant quality policy.

  • Establishes strategic direction for MVCA COE and AE teams.

  • Measures the productivity of the department by using volume and accuracy by individual and team.

  • Provides technical assistance to all plant activities, and customer visits, which interface with MVCA.

  • Implements salary plan and performance appraisals for the Order Engineering Manager, their team, and the AE team.

  • Establishes and provides for COE and AE training needs.

  • Provides technical and application assistance to field sales.

  • Advises in the resolution of quality issues related to Front End Engineering team.

  • Provides technical interface to other divisions providing products and services to MVCA.

  • Provides backup support to all COE and AE activities

  • Establishes and documents policies and procedures for COE and AE activities

  • Provides for MVCA presence on industry societies.

  • Promotes a positive employee relations environment and supports Asheville plant community involvement activities.

  • Other duties, projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

Basic REQUIRED Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited institution required.

• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, manufacturing, or management or technical related field.

• Minimum of one (1) year management experience in an engineering or manufacturing field.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Professional Engineer license

• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience with medium voltage controls and assemblies

• Experience with Power BI and data analysis

Skills:

  • Accountable for following all orders to assure their timely completion

  • Accurate assessment of an order’s complexity and current engineering load vs. C.O.D. capability is important to assure timeliness and quality engineering output.

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of the fundamentals of electrical engineering.

  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Medium Voltage Controls and Assembly products.

  • Experience with power distribution products and their customization (i.e. LV and MV Switchgear, Panelboards and Switchboards, Motor Control Centers, etc.)

  • The development of new policies and procedures requires concise documentation, thorough investigation with any other department affected and possible technical analysis.

  • Interface with field sales and customers frequently require the presentation of alternative applications to meet the intent of those requested.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent computer skills MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), AutoCAD
