Eaton Corporation HR Generalist in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a HR Generalist. The position will be based onsite at our facility in Arden, North Carolina.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $65250.0 - $95700.0 a year.

What you’ll do:

Position Overview:

Recommend, plan, implement and coordinate a wide variety of Human Resource programs and policies and day-to-day personnel activities in accordance with legal, local, divisional and corporate guidelines.

Provides support in functional areas of human resources including but not limited to recruitment and employment, personnel records, employee and/or labor relations, job evaluation, compensation management, benefits administration, organization development, training, and special projects. Assists in the development and implementation of human resources policies and procedures and their dissemination through employee booklets, communications, and/or meetings. Prepares reports in conformance with legislated requirements or organization needs.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate the recruitment process for open hourly or salary positions and assistance in the selection and promotion process of hourly and salaried workforce.

• Communicate and implement corporate, divisional and local HR policies/procedures.

• Handle day to day employee relations issues.

• Maintain affirmative action and EEO plans to meet federal, state and corporate guidelines.

• Serve as liaison between the Eaton Service Center at Fidelity for employees for Eaton Health and

Welfare benefits issues.

• Coordinate employee orientation program for new employees and employees transferring into facility.

• Support and help coordinate inclusion and diversity activities and Eaton Resource Groups (ERG) activities.

• Support efforts to maintain a positive employee relations plant atmosphere through knowledge of plant policies and procedures and responses to employee concerns/needs.

• Support efforts to accomplish the overall goals and objectives of Human Resources Department

• Partner with HR Services to complete employment record and compensation updates and audits

• Administrate the end employment process for both voluntary and involuntary separations

• Work in a safe manner and perform other duties as assigned within HR function.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of two years of Human Resource (HR) experience required.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or business management/administration from an accredited institution

  • Minimum two years’ experience in human resources.

  • Masters’ degree in human resources or business preferred.

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • SHRM certification.

Skills:

Position Criteria:

  • Demonstrate discretion and ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential materials, and possess good business judgment

  • Excellent computer skills (MicroSoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)

  • Knowledge of Oracle HRMS/HRDA, e-Star, and other human resource software

  • General knowledge of employment laws (such as the ADA, EEO, FLSA, FMLA) and ability to apply legal concepts to real world.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Problem solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks

  • Ability to understand, interpret and easily communicate and align policies and practices.
