Eaton Corporation Fabrication Machine Operator Assistant 2nd Shift in Arden, North Carolina

Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Fabrication Machine Operator Assistant 2nd Shift at our Arden, NC site!

Shift Hours: 3:30pm-2:00am Mondy through Thursday.

The hourly rate for this position is $19.50 per hour, plus a $2/ hour increase for 2nd shift.

What you’ll do:

Job summary

Aid in our materials management processes by auditing racks throughout facility for lost Kanban cards, stock-outs, and other materials issues that could lead to inaccurate system counts. This individual will work with our planning groups to correct any discrepancies between our system counts and the material quantities actually on the shelf.

Job responsibilities

  • Receive work assignments, oral or written instructions from Supervisor

  • Complete manual labor associated with machine operations such as breakout, stacking, packing, loading/unloading, sanding, grinding, cleaning and other duties required to prepare parts for the customer.

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and materials for continuous operation

  • Perform necessary operator maintenance on machining and fabrication equipment

  • Report abnormal situations and submit maintenance work orders to maintain equipment

  • Perform TPM and 5S+ responsibilities daily

Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:

• Must reside within a 50 mile radius of Arden, NC. Active Duty military are exempt from the geographical requirement

• Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship, now and in the future

Preferred Qualifications:

• Machining Certificate

• Previous experience in Fabrication

• DMM experience

Position Criteria:

  • Able to lift 35 pounds – waist, shoulder, overhead

  • Able to read tape measure

  • Proven history of safe work habits and good attendance*

  • Must be able to work effectively without direct supervision

  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office, Internet (JOE), etc.

  • Must be able to work overtime – weekdays and weekends

  • Authorized to work in the United States without Company Sponsorship
