SUMMARY: The Project Manager has the lead role in planning and managing projects through product evaluation and releasing of new products, with primary focus on engineered solutions and product line extensions. The Project Manager will help create and maintain efficient management processes to meet or exceed product release and delivery targets. They will work closely with the Engineering Manager, Purchasing, Design Engineers, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, and operations personnel to support new custom project activities within the New Product Innovation Engineering team. The essential duties and responsibilities include the following: Manage the Release of New Engineered Solutions: (80%) Prepares project plans, schedules and budgets by using project management tools and by working with appropriate staff to understand tasks necessary to complete project. Ensure that projects meet product specification/performance and project timeline. Oversee project progress by confirming completion of various department responsibilities. Report progress and project status to necessary individuals. Develop reports to track and monitor key metrics and continuous improvement efforts Identify and lead initiatives for improving CPC project management systems Maintain accurate information that is readily accessible and meets all ISO documentation requirements Work effectively with key personnel at our global facilities as it relates to new product development and release Provide support to operations team in the development of new processes or process improvements. Estimates project levels of effort and resource requirements by using standard estimating techniques and tools, and by working with appropriate staff to understand scope of effort. Maintain records of new orders received, dollar volumes, performance, etc. Coordinate the Application Proposal Process: (10%) Enter new custom product proposals into the project database, create project schedules and manage all documentation. Schedules meetings as necessary (detailed design reviews, project kickoff meetings, etc.). Departmental Reporting: (5%) Generating monthly reports from project and project management databases. Ensure consistency of information in project and project management databases. Additional Responsibilities: (5%) Performs other job duties as assigned to meet business needs. Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business 5+ year relevant project management experience Cross-functional leadership skills coupled with the ability to drive results and influence others Skill in communicating priorities, plans and information to employees throughout the organization Strong verbal and written communication skills Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, OneNote or similar software Requires an individual with a proactive working style, who demonstrates initiative and is driven to create and improve systems and processes.
