Kent Nutrition Group PACKING OPERATOR in Arcade, New York

Looking to join a five-time US Best Managed Company award winner? Blue Seal/Kent Nutrition Group, a member of theKENTCorporation family of companies has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Packing Operator in Arcade, NY!
This is a 1st shift opporunity with a schedule of 7: 00 a.m. to 3: 30 p.m.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate all feed manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Mix and prepare livestock feeds efficiently and in a manner that assures accuracy and high quality.
  • Ensure KNGs quality assurance protocol is met regarding ingredient receiving, load-out, and bagging.
  • Report any factors that may influence the quality and safety of the finished feed and ingredients to the immediate supervisor.
  • Observe and enforce all company policies & procedures.
  • Make sure all samples are representative of the feed and are properly prepared before they are submitted to the Quality Control supervisor for review (splitting, profile is inspected, etc.).
  • Make sure all feeds that require a shakeout are shaken out and results recorded.
  • Make sure all appropriate quality control reports are completed on every run of feed logged.
  • Make sure all runs meet yield guidelines. If a run of feeds does not meet guide lines notify Quality Control Supervisor immediately.
  • Make sure all feed is in proper bag, and correct tag is used and legible.
  • Make sure lot code on crepe tape is legible.
  • Other duties as assigned by plant management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of OSHA safety requirements.
  • Basic computer knowledge.
  • Good communication, verbal, written and math skills.
  • Work and cooperate with all fellow employees.
  • Thorough understanding of cGMPs.
  • Knowledge of HACCP Feed & Food Safety Plan.
  • Knowledge of FSMA.
  • Ability to operate a forklift
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Must be able to safely lift up to 55 lbs from floor to working height, as job requires.

WAGE:

  • Starting at $18.00 an hour
