This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the production of high-quality parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have experience operating CNC lathes, a strong understanding of machining principles, and a commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• (Depending on experience level) Set up and operate CNC lathes for various machining procedures.

• Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring parts meet specified tolerances.

• Utilize measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers) to verify part dimensions.

• Maintain a clean and safe work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

• Perform basic machine maintenance tasks (cleaning, lubrication).

• Troubleshoot common machining problems and identify part defects.

• (For higher levels) Create and edit CNC programs for complex parts.

• Analyze and optimize machining processes for efficiency and quality.

• Train and mentor less experienced machinists (for higher levels).

Qualifications:

• (For Level 1) Prior experience operating CNC machines a plus.

• Strong understanding of machining principles and tolerancing.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Ability to use measuring instruments to ensure precision.

• Commitment to safety and following established procedures.

• Self-motivated and eager to learn.

• (For Level 2) Minimum experience with CNC lathe setups required.

• Experience with conversational programming (preferred).

• Strong problem-solving skills.

• (For Level 3) Extensive experience with CNC lathe setups and operations.

• Ability to analyze and optimize machining processes.

• Experience with creating and editing complex CNC programs.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Strong leadership and mentorship skills (preferred).
