The Housekeeper role is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness, neatness and general upkeep of the overall campground and its facilities. Theyare responsible for managing these functions in accordance with the stated mission, goals, and policies established by the administrative staff, governing committees, and Board of Directors of the YMCA.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Models relationship-building skills in all interactions
• The ability to work Saturdays and Sundays
• Oversees and maintains the cleanliness, sanitation and orderliness of all campground buildings for assigned site
• Clean and sanitize cabin bathrooms on a daily schedule in the summer program season
• Takes initiative to address cleaning needs outside of routine duties
• Adheres to annual cleaning checklist and schedule, and provides guidance to staff for completion
• Maintains a clear understanding of facility standards and reports necessary repairs and improvement through designated communication channels
• Maintains regular, clear, and concise communication within area of responsibility

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Strong attention to detail and efficient organizational skills
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and equipment
• Ability to respond well in a fast paced environment
• Leadership skills, with an ability to manage people, time, and resources
• Willingness to work hard as a part of a team
• Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community
• Multi-lingual desired but not required
