B. Prescott Marine Construction is a well-established Marine Construction company that builds docks, and bulkheads, and installs boat lifts. A majority of our projects are in Pamlico County, with occasional travel to Beaufort, Carteret, and Craven Counties. Requirements:

  • General construction knowledge - only the basics are needed. We will train you!
  • Must have a Valid Driver's License and own transportation.
  • Ability to use basic construction tools, ex. chain saw drill, circular saw, etc.

Skills:

  • Anchor or brace wooden structures, frameworks, or forms
  • Build or repair structures in construction, repair, or manufacturing setting
  • Construct, erect, or repair wooden frameworks or structures cut, shape, fit, or join wood or other construction materials
  • Dig holes or trenches for foundations, posts, poles, or related items
  • Erect scaffold
  • Finish concrete surfaces
  • Grade or redistribute earth for roads or other construction
  • Install prefabricated building components
  • Install siding or sheeting
  • Maintain or repair construction machinery or equipment
  • Measure and mark layout for construction projects
  • Measure construction dimensions
  • Operate earth-moving or other heavy construction equipment
  • Operate pneumatic tamper to patch pavement or tamp earth
  • Operate power construction equipment
  • Perform safety inspections in construction or resource extraction
  • Setting repair cracks, defects, or damage in installed building materials
  • Set up heavy construction equipment
  • Use concrete fabrication techniques
  • Use measuring devices in construction or extraction work
  • Verify levelness or verticality, using level or plumb bob
  • Apply plaster, stucco, or related material
  • Understand construction specifications
  • Mix paint, ingredients, or chemicals, according to specifications
  • Use basic carpentry techniques
  • Use hand or power woodworking tools
  • Climb ladders, scaffolding, or utility or telephone poles
  • Communicate visually or verbally
