Hiring Pay Rate
The salary range listed represents a broad salary range for this position. It is anticipated that this position will begin at $4,154.00 per month, depending upon internal equity, experience, education, and training.

Description of Job
Position greets visitors, answers phone, and emails, manages supply orders and inventory, coordinates and invoices facility use by corporate training groups, pays bills, organizes workflow, maintains student files, prioritizes and performs all necessary duties.
Serve as designated purchasing authority for the Business department and maintain a purchasing card. Coordinate purchasing to include purchasing card, vendor direct pay, purchase orders, and other methods as requested. Ensure all purchases comply with Colorado Fiscal Rules, ACC Purchasing guidelines, and other applicable regulations and guidelines. Allocate monthly charges and submit reconciliation reports within designated deadlines.
Create and maintain budget spreadsheets for each Business departments programs. Work with Business Faculty Department Chair to plan and forecast annual spending for budget accounts and hourly employees. Coordinate travel for the Business Department. Serve as primary liaison between Business Faculty Department Chair and students, faculty, staff, and the public. Support and contribute to the Business Department and college retention goals by advising students and responding to student inquiries, record and monitor concerns and formulate solutions to these concerns by interpreting and communicating institutional procedures and instructional rules. Resolve and/or refer student complaints.
Maintain and manage the database of Paralegal program graduates, ensuring accurate records of employment status, educational achievements, and contact information. Conduct outreach each semester to graduates and their employers to assess educational and employment status, and gather feedback on program satisfaction from both parties.
Coordinate Advisory Board meetings, including scheduling, rooming, catering, setup and tear down, taking minutes, and dissemination of information. Works with the Business Faculty Department Chair and advisory committee on scholarships; may involve collecting applications from students, verifying requirements/criteria, assisting the advisory committee in review, recordkeeping, and other related duties. Schedule, coordinate, and attend various events for the Business department including, but not limited to, job fairs, career days, and orientations. Create, update, and maintain the Business departments program information, marketing, and recruiting materials in conjunction with ACC Marketing Department. Works with the Business Faculty Department Chair to develop recruitment information, including brochures, program advisory guides, and program information sheets for students.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience Only
Thirty-six months (36) of clerical experience as listed above and performed as the primary function of the job. Daily interaction with students, faculty and staff require that this position have strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Computer literacy is a must. Effective verbal and written communication skills are necessary for success in this position. Do not use "see resume" statements in application. Your application must be completed in detail, showing relevant experience in order to be considered. Part time experience will be prorated.

Education and Experience:
College, university, or non-correspondence business school course work from an accredited institution in Business or related field may substitute for the clerical experience as listed above on a year for year basis. A copy of your transcript verifying the required credits must be submitted at the time of applying in order to be considered. Redact your age-related information on your transcripts.
Conditions of Employment:Must submit to and successfully complete a pre-employment background check as a condition of hire. Preferred Qualifications: Please provide a detailed description on your application of your relevant work experience and document examples of your work in relation to the following: Experience involving a wide range of clerical responsibilities. Working knowledge of Banner or similar system. High level of speed and accuracy regarding data entry. Attention to detail (ability to check for typographical, grammatical and spelling errors, etc.). Experience and ability to work in a fast paced customer service and data entry environment, and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting targeted deadlines. Experience with problem solving processes. Understand and determine appropriate rules and regulations from various sources. Knowledge in extracting information from various reports. Prior work experience at a community college or other academic environment. Ability to deal with a diverse population with discretion and tact.
