Shift Overview:
Shift times and overtime hours vary dependent on position, department, and location
2nd shift: Monday – Thursday, four 10 hour days, overtime worked at the end of shift and on Friday’s and occasional Saturday's
Summary of Job Description
The positions within a Pump Plumbing Assembler work within precise and set limits, to tolerances and standards when performing a variety of tasks. The employee must be able to read and understand blue prints and collect the proper materials needed to start the pump plumbing assembly process. The employees use hand and power tools to complete their tasks. They must maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Essential Functions
Communicate verbally with co-workers to keep a safe working environment
Follow written and verbal instructions to complete tasks
Lift light and/or heavy parts on and off a cart, floor, shelf, etc.
Operate a crane/hoist for heavy lifting
Perform finish plumbing
Prepare pipe for plumbing installation including cutting and threading
Perform hydrostatic leak tests and record results
Repair any identified leaks
Run gauge tubing and make connections
Complete pre-line plumbing
Complete mid-line plumbing
Perform finish plumbing to include fitting up of pump panel and mechanical linkages
Perform welding for pipe and bracketry
Prepare pipe for plumbing installation including cutting and threading
Perform vacuum tests and record results
Weld, thread, and install piping
Read and interpret blue prints/fluid path diagrams & 3D CAD models
Apply measurement practices for proper alignment and part attachment
Proficient utilizing pneumatic/power hand tools, ex. drilling, grinding, reciprocating saws
Custom fabrication of finish pieces and bracketry
Work overtime as needed
Maintain clean and safe work environment
Marginal Work Functions

DA sand and finish edges of parts*
Install covers, masking tape, and bags on components not to be painted*
Perform finish plumbing to include; installing pump panel and mechanical linkages.*
Perform welding for pipe and bracketry.*
Weld, thread, and install heavy weld pipe.*
Work with co-workers in the same area*
Utilize a computer to view prints and work orders*
Sort, inspect, and pick the correct parts for the assembly process*
Operate a forklift to transport truck parts to and from designated areas*
May assist in training new employees
Move to other departments/areas to assist with an assembly project*
Testing of parts and equipment
Basic Qualifications
- Previous experience with basic hand tools
Preferred Qualifications to complete Essential Functions
Previous plumbing experience
Two or more years of mechanical and assembly experience
Experience repairing pumps and pump systems preferred
Previous welding/fabrication experience
Technical or Associate’s degree in a relevant Technician or Technology program or equivalent education and/or mechanical training.

Individually lift and manipulate parts/equipment weighing up to 75 pounds
Tolerate constant standing while performing tasks along with occasional awkward positions to complete the tasks
Have good hand eye coordination
Use both hands for tool operation, carrying of parts, and assisting co-workers with heavy lifting of parts
Distinguish the difference in various parts and equipment
Operate and access heavy equipment safely and effectively
