Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for an Area Logistics Manager for the Wisconsin market (Madison, Milwaukee, Appleton and Wausau).

Facilities

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for 6 large ship hubs that will enable us to provide world class customer service

  • Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, creating a safe work environment for associates

  • Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts

  • Drive high levels of quality in customer deliveries, inventory integrity within the building, and maintain associate engagement throughout the operation

  • Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates

  • Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and

  • Shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers.

  • Ensure cleanliness levels are maintained in our sites

  • Ensure integrity of inventory and assure that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately

  • Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, Logistics, industrial management, or related technical or education subject area is preferred

  • 5+ years' experience in distribution management leading 30+ employees in a large distribution/warehouse environment

  • A background in multi-site management is preferred

  • A strong background in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required

  • Previous experience working in a WMS environment is a must

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook

  • Strong understanding of Logistics and Warehousing

  • Strong interactive communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization

  • Hands on experience managing a team, including selection, training, mentoring, and performance management

  • A strong background in root cause analysis and process improvement

  • Material Handling Equipment Certification

  • Experience leading a team of warehouse associates and delivery drivers is a must

  • Experience leading a team of delivery drivers is a plus

  • A proven understanding of OSHA and DOT regulations

  • Ability to pro-actively plan and make timely decisions

Pay Range:

$7,949.70 - $18,191.80

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.
