MidCountry Bank Branch Manager in Apple Valley, Minnesota

JOB SUMMARY The Branch Manager is responsible for driving and managing sales, service, and operations for the branch. This position provides leadership and development for the branch staff and is accountable for meeting branch financial goals. Note: This is a multi-level position. All levels essentially have the same job responsibilities; however, bring different levels of experience and expertise. Branch Manager II s performance expectations include a track record of significant loan and deposit activity, sustained production results and demonstrated sales leadership and team building. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Optimize team talents by providing leadership and coaching to individuals by: - Establishing clear goals that tie to the vision and mission of the business. - Determine staffing needs; Recruit, hire and onboard talent. - Document and conduct annual performance review process duties on time. - Conduct ongoing one on one coaching sessions. - Managing employee performance issues in a timely manner and adhering to employment policies. - Participate in leadership training opportunities and apply learnings. 2. Sales and Service Leadership - Perform calling activities; including but not limited to internal customer calls and external cold calling efforts, while cross selling bank and non-bank products and services. - Open new Deposit accounts as well as service and maintain consumer, business, HSA, and IRA accounts. - Facilitate the consumer loan process from conversation to application, Including obtaining and evaluating financial statements, review credit information and process the closing process with the customer. - Maintain knowledge of all bank regulations and compliance requirements for the role of personal banker. This includes completing all required training assigned and attending off-site training as needed. - Build relationships with business line partners; Lead business development efforts for introducing customers to bank leaders and other internal partners. - Foster relationships with centers of influence all while balancing community involvement with banking needs and return. - Ensure branch/location is successful in achieving set retail and small business objectives/key deliverables around referrals, Business DDAs, Deposit Growth, Loan Production, and other goals. - Understand the local branch market and the opportunities that exist within that trade area; Be seen as a viable financial player and competitor in the marketplace. 3. Operational Leadership including Compliance, Security and Procedures - Manage all branch activities to ensure overall profitability of branch while adhering to corporate and regulatory policies and procedures. - Facilities Management and oversight, including insight of the branch budget. - Provides oversight on daily team activities, including training, scheduling, and work direction. - Ensure Bank and Branch security procedures are implemented and followed. - Maintains working knowledge of laws and regulations to ensure tasks completed are compliant. 4. Community Involvement and Networking - Build relationships with business lines partners; Leads business development efforts for introducing customers to bank leaders and other internal partners for relationship deepening and cross-selling opportunities. - Balanced community involvement with an expectation of return. - Foster Relationships with centers of influence, including Accounting and Law Firms, etc.
