Industrial Painter

• Duties may include cleaning and grinding products in the preparation process, cleaning products after completion, priming, painting, and applying decals/ labels to finished products.
• Repairs and maintenance to painting equipment (manuals provided).
• Other preparation and finishing duties. Painting is done by electric airless paint sprayer.
• Mixing paints. Prepare spraying equipment such as cleaning or adjusting spray guns.
• Willingness to take direction from and follow that direction and to be a self-starter when not working under direct supervision. Be capable of reading and understanding technical documents such as paint mixing procedures, and maintaining sprayer equipment as required.
• Have the ability and desire to become efficient with painting techniques, meet company productivity rates, maintain mil thickness, and learn all aspects of job as required.
• Cleaning spraying equipment with solvent or other recommended cleaning solutions daily.
• Maintaining the paint mix room while following the company safety policies.
• Clean steel according to specified safety requirements.
• Maintain proper respirator / filter care and operation.
• Carpentry type painting using brushes, rollers and air cup gun is not the same type of painting as industrial painting.** All new hires are trained to the specifics of this job. Reference checks. Background check. Drug screening (pre-employment and random).

JOB DETAILS

All work is performed on employer site, in-shop. We manufacture fuel storage tanks, waste containers and other fabricated items.

COMPENSATION AND HOURS

Full-time 40 hours per week. Minimal, if any, overtime. Day shift. Monday - Friday.

Pay: $33,500.00 - $41,600.00 per year
