Responsible for supervising and efficiently using the resources at his/her disposal for the transformation of raw material in the direct and/or indirect production areas of the plant, keeping the safety of his/her workers as a primary concern. Responsible for supervising the execution of the daily production plan and ensuring compliance with production goals through hour-by-hour tours, as well as following effective escalation processes to support departments and / or direct supervisor in case of any eventuality that jeopardizes the above.

Included in the scope is the supervision of the execution of compliance with work standards of the area and compliance with the processes / systems required to ensure product quality.

  • Supervise labor resources (staffing) required for the manufacture of raw materials, directly or indirectly.

  • Ensure compliance with Parker's internal supervisory manual.

  • Supervise the execution of the production plan.

  • Support the execution of work standards to maximize the hourly rate of the production cells.

  • Support the reduction/elimination of waste and inefficiencies throughout the processes, particularly in inventory, waiting, unnecessary movements, rework, etc., by teaming up with the functional areas of engineering, materials, quality and maintenance through escalation processes.

  • Leadership and maintenance of improvement boards (Team Improvement Board).

  • Apply the disciplinary matrix of Safety and Processes when applicable.

  • Support step by step audit processes to ensure the execution of the processes defined in the production lines.

  • Facilitate platform and problem-solving tools using natural work teams and whiteboarding for improvement (TIB).

  • Design and maintain a robust and functional skills matrix.

  • Support kaizen-type improvement events and improvement projects according to the division's annual strategy.

Qualifications

  • High School Studies

  • Professional Studies in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or equivalent (desirable)

  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar or related position (desirable).

  • Use of Microsoft Office (basic)

  • Management and development of personnel

  • Problem solving tools (desirable).

  • Effective communication

  • Leadership – personnel management
