Job Description

To expand our global manufacturing footprint Danfoss Sensing Solutions is establishing new Sensor production lines in Apodaca, Mexico. For the Sensor growth journey we are searching for a Product Engineer, to be a part of a new established team.

As Product Engineer you will be one point of contact and technical responsible for a Sensor product family in our new Sensor factory.

In this role you are the technical product expert and overall responsible for Sensor performance including evaluation and implementation of new product variants (NPV). Furthermore, you are driving continuous improvement initiatives related to product performance, cost and quality for your product family.

As a part of your onboarding, you will receive product and process training on a similar production line in Germany. Here you will be working closely together with our German colleagues for 6-8 weeks

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following.

  • Take overall ownership of product performance for a Sensor product family

  • Evaluate, conclude and sign off on product audit test results

  • Secure product quality and cost when changing existing products or releasing NPV

  • Drive execution of continuous improvement activity roadmaps timely and effectively

  • Drive product changes and NPV in close cooperation with a cross functional team

  • Take full product ownership in make site/factory after release of new product

The ideal candidate possesses these skills.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in mechanic or mechatronic engineering

  • 3-5 Years experience in a similar role

  • Experience with product specifications and CAD design, preferable experience related to sensors or HVAC applications

  • Experience with product performance evaluation and systematic product change process

  • Master technical analysis and risk assessments related to product performance

  • Experience within metal forming, sealing design or electrical connector design

  • Fluent in English, verbal and in writing

  • IATF 16949 methods and processes

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred

  • Communication skills including supplier dialogue

  • Continuous improvements focus

  • Cross-functional and cross-cultural collaboration

  • Growth mindset

  • Self-driven when organizing & prioritizing tasks/projects
