Role Purpose
Responsible for overall unit talent management. Responsible for all projects assigned to the organizational unit. Directly participates in establishing and administering many centralized functional projects. Directs efforts to improve overall unit effectiveness. Exerts influence in the development of overall objectives and long-range goals of the organization
Key Responsibilities
Accomplishes results through lower level supervisors or through experienced employees who exercise significant latitude and independence in their assignments
Interprets and executes policies that typically affect subordinate units
Functions as an advisor to a unit regarding tasks, projects, and operations
Becomes actively involved in daily operations only when required to meet schedules or to resolve complex problems
Regularly engages with internal personnel and external customer reps at various levels concerning operations or scheduling of specific phases or contracts
Conducts presentations and participates in technical meetings for internal and external reps concerning specific operations
Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget
Provides coaching and mentoring to employees
Leads department/unit talent planning process
Experiences/Education - Required
Bachelors Degree in related field
Preference for working with, and through, people
Experiences/Education - Desired
Masters Degree
Successful track record of performance in chosen field
5-8 years relevant work experience
3+ years supervisory experience; Experience acting as supervisor to other supervisors
