The team you will be a part of
The Product Design team designs, validates and brings new products to market.; designs, tests and integrates components to produce final designs; and evaluates the design's overall effectiveness, cost, reliability and safety. Collaborates with internal partners to optimize designs for manufacturability. Uses CAD/CAE systems to model new designs and produce detailed engineering drawings.

Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for a UX Designer opening to join our Global Consumer Design organization.

Your responsibilities will include
Create compelling, inspiring, and unique digital designs for Whirlpool’s eCommerce platforms and connected home appliances.
Collaborate closely with visual and motion designers, ensuring consistency across digital and physical touchpoints.
Work with global, cross-functional stakeholders to understand requirements and co-create thoughtful, effective solutions.
Communicate the user experience at various stages of the design process using wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and/or high-fidelity prototypes.
Advocate for user-centered design and contribute to an agile roadmap that balances current and future needs.
Enhance and contribute to the development of our Design Systems to ensure a cohesive user experience across multiple brands and platforms.
Conduct benchmark research to inform design concepts, ensuring solutions remain best-in-class and aligned with the latest web and eCommerce trends.
Actively seek and share digital inspiration, staying ahead of industry advancements to drive innovative, market-driven design solutions.
Minimum requirements
Bachelor’s Degree
1-3 years of experience creating wireframes, mockups, user flows, and interactive prototypes for desktop and mobile digital platforms.
Proficiency with digital design tools such as Figma, Photoshop, Illustrator, along with a strong understanding of design best practices for web and mobile platforms.
Experience with the human-centered design process
A portfolio showcasing projects in digital or eCommerce design with your direct contributions.
Preferred skills and experiences
Master’s degree in Design, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
Ability to seamlessly integrate digital experiences with physical product interactions.
3+ years of relevant experience in digital or eCommerce-focused design.
Proven ability to lead product ideation from concept to launch with a focus on user-centered design.
Strong skills in influencing product design strategy, aligning with business goals.
Ability to analyze user insights from data and UXR to identify opportunities and guide design decisions.
Excellent problem-solving skills, especially regarding technical constraints in designing for responsive web and mobile interfaces.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with experience collaborating across teams throughout the design process.
