Kuehne+Nagel National Tax Specialist in Antwerp, Belgium

Your Role

In your function you will be responsible for all topics related to direct and indirect taxes. Moreover you will also be involved in preparation of Annual Accounts for five legal entities. Last but not least you will play an important role as an advisor to various stakeholders in relation to fiscal aspects.

Your Responsibilities

Direct Taxation:

•Preparation and filing of corporate Tax returns with annexes.

•Preparation and filing of local tax returns (community and province taxes)

•Preparation of the fiscal documents 281.50

•Analyzing+advising internally with respect to Taxation topics

•Preparation and organization of tax audits and/or questions

•International tax reporting

•Ad hoc analysis/reports

•Suggestions of process improvements/solutions

Indirect Taxation:

•Review the prepared monthly VAT returns / ESL / annual listing

•File VAT refunds in EU

•Preparation and organization of tax audits and/or questions

•Ad hoc analysis/reports

•Suggestions of process improvements/solutions

•Assistance during Sgi internal audits

Annual Accounts & Legal:

•Preparation of Annual Accounts in line with Belgian GAAP

•Year End Statutory Accounts audit process

•Draft intercompany contracts

•Secure compliance with policies, guidelines & procedures

Communication & Training:

•Manage and follow up of corrective action plans based on audits

•Act as advisor – in practical terms - to the management and business fields

•Transfer VAT knowledge to the organization

Your Skills and Experiences

  • You have knowledge and experience in tax preferable in VAT and corporate taxation

  • You have minimum 3 years of experience in a tax function

  • You are experienced with usual IT office packages

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (French will be considered as an asset)

  • You are flexible, analytical thinker with strong interpersonal skills

  • You are reliable team player when needed but also an independent expert when expected

  • You are willing to follow the legislation and committed to implement it accordingly
