Kuehne+Nagel National Operational Key Account Manager Reefers in Antwerp, Belgium
As the National Operational Key Account Manager - Reefers, you will be the key point of contact for fostering strong relationships with customers, optimizing operational performance, and implementing tailored solutions to meet their needs. Working closely with both internal teams and customers, you’ll drive operational excellence and enhance customer satisfaction while identifying cost-saving opportunities and business improvements.
Your Role
The National Operational Key Account Manager - Reefers is responsible for managing customer relationships and ensuring the successful delivery of operational solutions specific to the reefers sector. This role involves acting as the liaison between customers and internal teams, overseeing customer-specific initiatives, driving performance according to KPIs, and facilitating the implementation of new business and ad hoc projects. You will also monitor compliance and support internal improvements for continuous operational excellence.
Your Responsibilities
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers, serving as their primary point of contact and escalation.
Negotiate and formalize operational requirements with customers, ensuring alignment with their needs.
Enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty by designing and implementing tailored solutions specific to reefers.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive efficiency by leveraging operational capabilities and customer relationships.
Act as a subject matter expert on KN's service offerings to facilitate new business and operational improvements.
Serve as the main point of contact for implementing new business, joint projects, and customer requests outside daily operations.
Collaborate with sales and operational teams to address corrective actions and ensure seamless service delivery.
Manage customer-specific KPIs, ensuring they are aligned with business objectives and continuously monitored for performance.
Support the RFQ process and ensure accurate setup of customer information in KN’s operational systems.
Prepare reports and presentations for Business Reviews, covering KPI performance, project updates, and operational matters.
Your Skills and Experiences
Ability to manage internal resources through influence, leadership, and the building of lasting trust.
Strong analytical skills, ambition, and confidence in leading wide-ranging internal and external improvement initiatives.
In-depth knowledge of forwarder logistics import and export operations, including security protocols, systems, and processes.
Skilled in driving customer compliance by effectively communicating international trade regulations.
Experience working with multi-national and multi-business unit organizations.
Proven experience in customer relationship management and communication.
Expertise in onboarding new business, with a focus on executing effective implementation and best practices.
Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
