Description
Are you looking for a position where you can utilize your customer service skills while helping others in your community with limited English proficiency? CoVantage Credit Union is seeking a full-time on-site Spanish Interpreter/Virtual Specialist to join our team! This individual will join a team dedicated to providing bilingual members with exceptional service and outstanding value in-person, over the phone, and through CoVantage's online channels.
CoVantage invests in our team members! The pay for this role is $17.25-$30.79 per hour. Additionally, this position is eligible for $1.00 interpreter differential paid per hour in addition to base compensation to help serve the Limited English Proficient population in the communities we serve. As a CoVantage team member, you'll also receive a 401k employer match of up to 200%, a bonus of annual salary up to 4%, a generous employer HSA contribution, and paid time off for community service.
*Based on an individual earning $16.00 per hour, electing specific benefit packages, and achieving full bonus.
Job Duties
Provides translation and interpreter assistance as needed between credit union employees and bilingual members.
Field phone calls, voicemails, e-mails, and online messages.
Assist online, mobile, and phone banking users with passwords, bill pay, deposits, and more.
Deliver exceptional service while building strong member relationships.
Refer members to other credit union products and services when appropriate.
Provide efficient and professional service to members.
Maintain member confidentiality.
This role follows a rotating schedule, covering Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7p.m., with multiple Saturday shifts each month from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Qualifications
Bilingual fluency in Spanish required.
Must pass credit union fluency testing and maintain working knowledge of English and secondary language.
Have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent.
Have experience working in a service or sales related capacity.
Have strong written and verbal communication skills in both the English and Spanish language and the ability to work with a wide variety of people on a daily basis.
Have the ability to be organized, efficient, and accurate in a fast-paced work environment.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and Windows software programs.
Minimum of 1 years' experience as an interpreter is preferred, but not required.
