Job Title: TIG Welder

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced TIG Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for welding using TIG or heliarc techniques on thin stainless steel to produce custom, short-run, prototype equipment for the food industry.

Responsibilities

  • Perform TIG welding on thin stainless steel using heliarc techniques.

  • Produce custom, short-run, prototype equipment for the food industry.

  • Read and interpret blueprints to execute precise welding tasks.

  • Utilize a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.

  • Operate welding equipment, including machine settings for various welding processes.

  • Perform fixturing and set-up as required.

  • Work on intricate welding processes, both hand and machine, to develop complex fabrications to closely prescribed standards.

Essential Skills

  • Must have welding experience.

  • Strong math skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

  • Welder qualifications per ASME Section IX and/or AWS D1.1 for GTAW, FCAW and/or GMAW in Horizontal, Vertical, and/or All Positions.

  • Ability to work on intricate welding processes to develop complex fabrications.

  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools and measuring instruments.

  • Experience in operating welding equipment, including machine settings for various welding processes.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience with MIG welding.

  • Experience with food-grade welding.

  • Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
