The Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is looking for a caring and friendly Licensed Practical Nurse to join our nursing team! As the Licensed Practical Nurse you will assist in providing nursing care, treatment, instruction, and short-term psychiatric care to patients in a hospital level of care setting under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Responsibilities include:
Complete daily nursing cares including administering and monitoring medications and treatments
Performing basic medical treatments per medical practitioner orders
Provide health information to individual patients
Observe patients and complete focused assessments
Provide report to Registered Nurses so that assessments, interventions, and follow-up of patient’s well-being is completed and documented.
Interact respectfully with patients while maintaining appropriate boundaries
Complete assigned admission/discharge forms within policy timelines
Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center is a secure inpatient psychiatric hospital serving adults with mental illness in a large, campus-based setting. The population also includes individuals civilly committed for specialized care, such as competency for criminal court (Rule 20), emergency 48-hour bed holds, and co-occurring mental illness/chemical dependency. Located just 15 minutes north of the Twin Cities metro, this modern facility offers compassionate, person-centered care in a pleasant environment appreciated by patients and employees alike.
Minimum Qualifications
Possess or be eligible for licensure as a Practical Nurse in Minnesota. Future Practical Nurses who are within six (6) months of graduating and taking their NCLEX-LPN are encouraged to apply. Contingent job offers may be made upon successful completion of degree and passing of NCLEX-LPN.
