Hiring for a Ammonia Refrigeration Technician in the Twin Cities/Metro area! DIRECT PLACEMENT OPPORTUNITY!

Job Description

Local union contractor is seeking a field technician to support its ammonia refrigeration department. The role involves a mix of servicing ammonia products and equipment, as well as contributing to new construction projects.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Experienced with refrigerant maintenance

• Experience with Ammonia OR Freon

• Experience with industrial or commercial maintenance

• On-call rotation participation

• High pressure piping license, EPA license, CARO, CIRO certification (Any of these are nice to have)

• OSHA 10 certification (Preferred)

Work Environment

Work hours are 7AM-4PM, Monday-Friday, with an on-call rotation every 6-8 weeks from Thursday to Wednesday. Overnight travel is required once or twice per year. If able, travel within a 5-state radius; otherwise, local work is accommodated. The work takes place in industrial and commercial environments such as Hyvee, ice rinks, cold storage facilities, etc.
