Aerotek Ammonia Refrigeration Technician in Anoka, Minnesota
Job Title:
Journeyman HVAC Technician/Pipefitter
Pay:
Depending on Experience 30-55/hr
Job Description:
A local union contractor is seeking a field technician to support its ammonia refrigeration department.
90% of day-to-day work will be in servicing ammonia products and equipment:
• Ammonia testing, moisture testing, leak detection
• Change compressors, swap valves, and offset temperatures.
• Calibrate equipment, and pressure test systems.
• Routine maintenance, quarter/annual checks, troubleshooting, customer service
10% of day-to-day work will be in new construction, equipment, system, and appliance installation.
Skills & Qualifications:
• Experienced with refrigerant maintenance (Required)
• Experience with Ammonia OR Freon (Required)
• Experience with industrial or commercial maintenance (Required)
• On-call rotation (Required)
• High-pressure piping license, EPA license, CARO, CIRO certification (Any of these are nice to have)
• OSHA 10 (Preferred)

Schedule:
• 7 AM-4 PM, Monday-Friday
• Thursday-Wednesday on-call rotation, every 6-8 weeks
• Overnight travel, ONCE OR TWICE PER YEAR IF ABLE, TRAVEL IN 5-STATE RADIUS, IF YOUR SCHEDULE DOES ALLOW, YOU CAN STAY LOCAL
• Casey\'s, Hy-Vee, Ice Rinks, Cold Storage, industrial and commercial environment
• 13 techs currently on the ammonia team
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $114254.00
