International Automotive Components Maintenance Manager in Anniston, Alabama

Summary:

Develop and maintain preventative maintenance program. Improve reliability of equipment, supervise and coordinate activities

of the maintenance staff. Direct and assist in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical equipment such as engines,

motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines and equipment.

Duties:

  1. Supervise and direct the priorities and activities of the maintenance staff.
  2. Provide training to all members of the maintenance staff to master their core competencies and identify educational paths for each mechanic.
  3. Observe all health and safety requirements and maintain work area in a neat and orderly condition.
  4. Perform routine and emergency mechanical, hydraulic/pneumatic, and electrical maintenance.
  5. Troubleshoot, repair and prescribe required maintenance to assure satisfactory operation with minimum downtime.
  6. Develop and maintain PM system for all equipment using reliability measurements to define root cause of failures.
  7. Develop and execute corrective action plans for continuous improvement.
  8. Recommend measure to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality of product.
  9. Suggest changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of shop, department and/or employees.
  10. Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations.
  11. Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders to workers and assign duties.
  12. Establish or adjust work procedures to meet production schedules.
  13. Initiate or suggest plan to motivate workers to achieve work goals.
  14. Maintain records of machine downtime.
  15. Initiate purchase orders for parts and machines and monitor spare parts stock levels.
  16. Work from drawings, prints, diagrams, and manufacturers instructions to locate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems in functional and control systems.
  17. Adjust, repair, or replace parts and materials as needed.
  18. Perform preventative maintenance inspection as required.
  19. Fabricate new equipment or supplemental pieces such as guards, conveyors, chutes, and carriers.
  20. Perform injection unit and clamp-end calibrations using prescribed equipment.
  21. Repair and rebuild robotic equipment as needed.
  22. Repair electrical equipment.
  23. Maintain service records for all major equipment.
  24. Assist in die setting.
  25. Perform reasonably related duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibility:

Directly supervises several employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

Associates degree or equivalent in experience and education. Experience: 3 - 5 years in formal supervisory capacity with proven management and technical skills, with in depth knowledge of molding processes, machines, materials and operations.

Work hours are normally Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm (CT). Worker will have to be on call and be available to work mandatory over-time.
