The Role

At Lumen, Financial Assurance is a proactive domain that establishes and maintains audits and controls to identify and resolve revenue leakage and accurately match and categorize network expense.

As a Senior Lead Finance Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering sophisticated end-to-end reporting and automation solutions, requiring proficiency beyond the core SQL stack. You'll analyze business processes and devise solutions for manual work automation. You will create documentation for processes as well as overall governance. You will drive and influence our business partners to scope, design and deliver the solution that delivers the optimal result both technically, for our business partners and against wider strategic goals.

To be successful in this role you will need to be at the consulting-level and a highly technical professional. Expert knowledge of our Network Expense and/or Revenue requirements with strong business acumen. You will need to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and works on the most complex and unique issues requiring in-depth evaluation to generate solutions to business problems. This position exercises significant latitude in determining and executing objectives and approaches to critical assignments. Devises methods, modifies or adapts standard procedures to meet different situations. Contributes to the establishment of the organization’s strategic goals. Directly impacts goal achievement of complex company-wide or interdepartmental projects with strategic importance. Influences executive level management. Serves as liaison on specific projects in other work areas and/or with customers, suppliers, government/regulatory bodies, etc.

The Main Responsibilities

  • Establish and Maintain Governance for Revenue Assurance and Network Expense through Dashboards. Implement financial assurance controls, source data acquisition, normalization, and automation. Introduce new control points and metrics to adapt to evolving business needs.

  • Document and optimize processes for optimal performance.

  • Conduct transaction audits to uncover revenue recovery and cost-saving opportunities.

  • Navigate multiple systems to extract crucial data for analysis.

  • Investigate and resolve root causes of service issues, collaborating with functional teams for solutions.

  • Drive initiatives to prevent revenue leakage, reduce costs, increase revenue, and minimize defects.

  • Audit and assess customer invoices, contracts, and orders to ensure accurate billing.

  • Enhance business intelligence through advanced query development and data analysis.

  • Develop reports using SQL, Power BI, SSIS, SSRS, and proprietary tools.

  • Analyze business problems, requirements, and implement innovative solutions.

  • Collaborate on integration of programming requests with current applications/processes.

  • Ability to create executive-level PowerPoint presentations.

Compensation

The starting salary for this role differs based on the employee's primary work location. Employees typically do not start at the top of the range, though compensation depends on each individual's qualifications.

Location Based Pay Ranges

$94420 - $125890 in these states: AR, ID, KY, LA, ME, MS, NE, SC, and SD.

$99390 - $132510 in these states: AZ, AL, FL, GA, IN, IA, KS, MO, MT, NM, ND, OH, OK, PA, TN, UT, VT, WV, WI, and WY.

$104360 - $139140 in these states: CO, HI, MI, MN, NV, NH, NC, OR, and RI.

$109330 - $145770 in these states: AK, CA, CT, DE, DC, IL, MD, MA, NJ, NY, TX, VA, and WA.

As with the pay range variety that's based on the region of a country, specific offers are determined by various factors such as experience, education, skills, certifications and other business needs.
