Oracle Program Manager 5-ProdDev in Annapolis, Maryland

Job Description

The Database Division Security Program Office aims to provide our customers with the most secure products and services for their enterprises. We work on programs that make our products resilient to exploitation. We establish and drive to a high level of security criteria for all of the database division’s products and services. As a member of the Security Program Office team, you will help drive our commitment to enterprise security. Top candidates are passionate about security, have experience working with Oracle Database are have in-depth experience in one or more security topics.

Responsibilities

Establish security criteria for products and services.

Drive to the criteria, and eliminate bottlenecks along the way.

Streamline or re-invent processes to best support development goals.

Translate new customer requirements and feedback into technical requirements and long term product strategy.

Work with development team to understand and guide resolution of the security vulnerabilities in products, and educate teams on adapting the security compliance guidelines defined by the product security team.

Understand industry wide security standards and security criteria for products. Educate and advocate security and safe coding practices in our products.

Preferred qualifications:

10 years relevant work experience, including experience in one or more of: Oracle database, vulnerability assessment, as well as significant development experience in any of Java, PL/SQL, C, C++.

Ability to communicate to technical audiences, and to drive activity in a virtual team environment.

Must be motivated to learn independently and conduct self-directed research.

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Foundation in and in-depth technical knowledge of security engineering, computer and network security, authentication, security protocols and applied cryptography is a big plus.

You will be working across a virtual team with differing timelines and objectives, to lead us through planning and designing technical solutions to solve the business?s problems in a very agile, fast-paced, and collaborative environment. The position relies heavily on influence to drive project deliverables.

The successful candidate must have deep engineering experience, problem-solving skills, strong business judgment, and notable experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with a focus on large corporate and enterprise customers.

We are looking for a self-starter technical leader with a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new projects. This position requires a solid systems-level technical background, and the candidate should have a background in driving adoption of new technology among disparate teams with competing priorities. You will partner closely with peers, developers and the entire Oracle security community. This position requires deep technical knowledge and hands on program leadership in managing innovative development and security implementation and across the Oracle corporate enterprise.

With your deep customer, technical and security experience, you will shape Oracle?s security brand through delivery of leading edge, secure solutions.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $104,100 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
