We are in search of an Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Annapolis, Maryland area. This role is pivotal in managing the processing of invoices for different business units. As an integral part of our team, you will handle vendor reconciliation, payment processing, and analysis, all supported by your proficiency in Excel. This role offers a contract opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Process invoices for different business units with accuracy and efficiency

• Utilize MS Dynamics Great Plains for various accounting tasks

• Learn and navigate through our Envi IOS supply chain system

• Code accounts payable to correct GL accounts

• Perform vendor reconciliation to ensure accurate financial records

• Execute vendor payments and conduct detailed analysis within Excel

• Operate Excel for VLOOKUP’s or Pivot Table experiences

• Manage approximately 500 invoices on a monthly basis

• Oversee document management and payables processing

• Maintain vendor relationships and manage vendor records.

Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Experience with IBM AS/400

• Knowledge of JD Edwards EnterpriseOne

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Understanding and execution of Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Check Processing

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Ability to handle Discrepancies in Account Coding and Account Reconciliation

• Experience in managing Vendor Relationships and maintaining Vendor Records

• Capability to process Approved Invoices, Code Invoices, and Enter Vendor Invoices

• Skilled in handling High-Volume Invoicing, Invoice Coding, and Invoice Discrepancies

• Experience in Invoice Payment, Invoice Processing, and Invoice Reconciliation

• Familiarity with Monthly Invoices and Payable Invoices

• Ability to Post Invoices, Process Vendor Invoices, and Review Invoices

• Experience with Check Runs and Wire Transfer

• Capability to Process Payments

• Advanced knowledge of Excel Formulas
