NiSUS Technologies Corporation O47SE1 - Associate System Engineer - Cleared in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

This position is a hands-on System Engineering/Signals Analysis position supporting a critical system. The candidate will be involved in all aspects of system support, including requirements management, data management and analysis, system testing, and support to users.

Requirements

TS/SCI with poly required

  • Seven (7) years of experience as a SE in projects of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required.

  • Five (5) years of additional System Engineer experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree.

  • Strong interpersonal, communications and writing skills.

  • Basic Linux skills required.

  • Experience with modern communications networks and/or telephony engineering in addition to strong hands-on engineering skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Wireshark or other protocol analyzer.

  • Knowledge of and experience with scripting languages to automate installations, analysis, testing and or system monitoring efforts.

  • Experience installing, monitoring, and optimizing Kubernetes clusters.

  • Familiarity / completion of Advanced Communications Signals Analysis Course (452), Intermediate Communications Signals Analysis Course (451).

  • Working knowledge of SONET/SDH/OTN, ETHERNET, PCM, VSAT, OSI Model and Computer to Computer (C2C) structure, and/or technologies/protocols such as: MPLS, VLAN, Psuedowire, TDMoIP, ATM, Frame Relay, Cisco, Nortel, X.25, PPP, IP, TCP, UDP, VCAT, VOIP, VoFR and Voice/Video encoding.
