Belay Technologies Mid System Engineer in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Belay Technologies is seeking a Mid-Level System Engineer (SE2) to join our intel team. We are looking for a Systems Engineer with technical experience with:

  • Manage tasks across multiple applications and teams to ensure complete lifecycle planning, designing, and scheduling of mission thread requirements

  • Experience with Agile SCRUM and Agile software development

  • Full Software Development Lifecyle (SDLC) experience

  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the compliance and integrity of the application

  • Experience using Jira and Confluence

    Candidates should have the following qualifications:  

  • TS/SCI with Full Scope polygraph is required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university or nineteen (19) year's total of SE experience may be substituted for candidates without a qualifying bachelor’s degree. 

  • Fourteen (14) or more years of experience working with developers on web-based applications 

    Candidates are required to have the following skills:

  • Experience with Agile SCRUM methodologies and frameworks

  • Work with a diverse team of principal, senior, and junior level contributors to provide development and production support for the customer.

  • Transition and modernize legacy tools and collapse like capabilities

  • Solicit, interpret, and draft requirements, advocate for development teams; plan and run realistic agile sprints; and established detailed schedules

  • Define mission use cases to expose mission workflows and product capabilities. Derive SCRUM activities from the creation of use cases.

  • Lead integrated product teams through the lifecycle planning, designing, and scheduling of mission thread requirements

  • Design, Develop, and Improve workflows from legacy systems into modern frameworks

  • Integrate existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments

  • May define data models to link existing applications in support of new data items; develop data mining and data ingest processes for new data; and support integration with middle-tier and back-end APIs.

  • Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components

  • Perform system life-cycle activities to ensure highest level of system performance and availability and compliance with business requirements

  • Administer, maintain, and implement policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the application

    Salary Range: $114,000 to $164,000
