Receptionist Skills & Knowledge:Must have well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to prioritize and multitask, excellent communication, grammar, spelling, typing, organization, problem-solving, time management, and planning skills; Must be familiar with computers, spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and use of other office equipment; have the ability to manage stressful situations while maintaining a professional demeanor; self-motivated, the ability to work without close supervision.

Receptionist job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greets the public in a manner which reflects a professional and positive agency image daily.

  • Accurately receives records and relays messages according to agency guidelines daily.

  • Answers/transfers Arrowleaf phones in a manner which reflects a professional and positive agency image daily while accurately recording/relaying messages to appropriate staff.

  • Accepts consumer payment and prepares a payment record or receipt (depending on payment type), secures monies and payment records/receipts.

  • Maintains reception area in a neat and orderly condition.

  • Ability to screen and assess for consumers that are exhibiting symptoms of trauma or crisis during the referral process

  • Adhere to strict confidentiality in regard to client activities and documentation.

  • Types, files, and analyzes agency related correspondence and other documentation daily.

  • Maintains adequate supply of brochures/handbooks in the lobby. Navigate Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to check clients in for appointments and document necessary information.
