LimnoTech has an opportunity for an environmental engineer or scientist to help meet ongoing/expanding project needs. The selected candidate will work in our Ann Arbor, MI headquarters. Responsibilities The engineer or scientist hired will primarily support projects involving investigation and remediation of soil, groundwater, and sediment contamination. Typical job responsibilities include the following, depending on individual ability, skills, and experience:

  • Planning and implementing site investigations for traditional and emerging contaminants including PFAS

  • Reviewing and synthesizing soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water data

  • Assessing contaminant fate and transport in groundwater and surface waters

  • Preparing written deliverables

  • Performing regulatory compliance activities under Part 201, RCRA, and CERCLA

  • Identifying, evaluating, and designing mitigation and remediation actions for environmental contamination

  • Presenting project findings and results to clients, regulators, and project partners

  • Managing projects and clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Hydrogeology, or related scientific discipline from an accredited university program is required.

  • Minimum of five years’ environmental consulting experience related to the responsibilities outlined above, especially related to Part 201 compliance, vapor intrusion, and groundwater investigation.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential, as are strong analytical and computational abilities.

  • Ability and willingness to work outdoors under a variety of weather conditions for sampling and contractor oversight.

  • Experience with any of the following is a plus: assessment and management of contaminated sediments; environmental drilling oversite, groundwater modeling; human health or ecological risk assessment.
