Description We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a meticulous Accountant in Angels Camp, California. This role involves technical fiscal duties and procurement activities under the Finance Director's supervision, ensuring accurate and timely general ledger reporting. The position also contributes to budget formulation, program operations monitoring, and fiscal control of grants and contracts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing financial affairs, including contracts and meeting accounting and governmental standards. • Monitor budgets and prepare timely cost reports for funding agencies. • Process service, supply, and equipment requisitions, ensuring competitive pricing and compliance with fiscal policies. • Maintain inventory control and manage monthly inventory reconciliation. • Manage facility improvements and coordinate with Compliance to ensure policy adherence. • Prepare financial reports for staff and present in the absence of the Finance Director. • Assist in preparing and submitting cost reports and maintaining financial management policies. • Identify and coordinate grant opportunities, ensuring all records and reports are accurate and current. • Act as Finance Director when the Director is absent. • Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP - Financial Services, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, Great Plains (GPAC), Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Budget Processes, and Billing.

• Minimum of three years of experience in a detail oriented accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Knowledge of Great Plains (GPAC)

• Ability to perform various Accounting Functions

• Experience handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Previous experience in Auditing

• Familiarity with Budget Processes

• Experience with Billing

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
