We are seeking an accomplished and detail-oriented Finance Team Lead with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation to lead our finance department. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, a comprehensive understanding of accounting principles, and a proven track record in financial management. As the Finance Team Lead, you will play a pivotal role in guiding the finance team, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and contributing to strategic decision-making.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and support.

  • Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment within the finance team.

  • Allocate responsibilities and set clear objectives to ensure the team's success.

  • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.

  • Conduct detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

  • Provide insights into financial performance and trends to senior management.

  • Lead the development and monitoring of budgets in collaboration with department heads.

  • Oversee the preparation of financial forecasts, identifying opportunities for cost optimization.

  • Work closely with business units to ensure alignment between financial goals and organizational objectives.

  • Ensure compliance with accounting regulations, tax laws, and financial reporting standards.

  • Manage the coordination of internal and external audits, addressing audit findings and implementing recommendations.

  • Continuously assess and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices in financial management and reporting.

  • Evaluate and recommend enhancements to financial systems and tools.

  • Collaborate with other departments to gather relevant financial information and support organizational initiatives.

  • Serve as a key liaison between the finance team and other business units.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.

  • 5+ years experience in a leadership role within a finance team.

  • Strong proficiency in accounting software and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be largely sedentary and will be required to sit/stand for long periods while using a computer and telephone headset. The employee will be regularly required to operate a computer and other office equipment, including a phone, copier, and printer. The employee may occasionally be required to move about the office to accomplish tasks; reach in any direction; raise or lower objects, move objects from place to place, hold onto objects, and move or exert force up to forty (40) pounds.
