Job Description

We are looking for a Technical Writer to join the Manufacturing Operations organization at a large pharmaceutical client based out of Andover, MA.

This Technical Writer will be responsible for completing the revision of 80-100 SOP documents due by June 1, 2025. You will be working with the manufacturing and engineering subject matter experts to review the SOPs, understand what needs to be updated, complete redlining, then the Technical Writer will be using MS Word to make the edits and submit through the document revision process. You will be trained in their internal document management system process, and could be asked to gown up to enter the manufacturing floor for additional support.

This job posting is for a 40 hour work week starting on an 8 month scope of work as an employee of Insight Global on assignment at our client. The individual selected for this role will be offered the role as an employee of Insight Global; compensation, medical benefits, and other terms and conditions of employment shall be presented by Insight Global upon offer. The pay rate range is expected to be $30-40/hr as a reasonable estimate of the anticipated compensation range for this job at the time of posting. The actual pay rate will be based on a number of factors, including skills, competencies, experience, location and/or being pursued, and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition, this role will be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.

Skills and Requirements

- 3-5+ years of Technical Writing experience within manufacturing environment

- Experience reviewing, editing, and improving SOPs

- Previous biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience HUGE plus

- Self-starter with the ability to manage individual project timelines with minimal oversight null
