The Receiver, Exciter, and Back-End Processing (REBEP) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. The department is responsible for the design, development, integration, test and support to the production builds of multiple Raytheon products.

We are looking for a highly skilled RF Test Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in testing and validating radio frequency (RF) systems and components. You will be responsible for ensuring the performance, quality, and reliability of RF products through rigorous testing and analysis. This role requires a deep understanding of RF principles, test methodologies, and the ability to work with advanced test equipment and cutting edge technology. You will collaborate closely with design engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders to develop and execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and provide detailed reports on test results. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and have a passion for continuous improvement. What Will You Do

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for RF systems and components.

  • Perform RF testing using advanced test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and signal generators.

  • Troubleshoot and debug RF systems and components, test station, and process issues down to CCA and component levels.

  • Analyze test data and provide detailed reports on performance, quality, and reliability.

  • Collaborate with design engineers to identify and resolve issues early in the development process.

  • Provide technical support and guidance to other team members.

  • Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on testability and reliability.

  • Document test procedures, results, and any issues encountered during testing.

  • Assist in the development of new RF testing methodologies and best practices.

  • This role is 100% on-site and will be based in both Tewksbury, MA and Andover, MA.

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 5 years’ of prior work experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 3 years’ of prior work experience.

  • Experience in RF testing and validation.

  • Experience with RF principles and test methodologies.

  • Experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, phase noise analyzers, and signal generators.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance post-start is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualification We Prefer

  • Experience with testing and troubleshooting RF and Microwave component/subsystem such as up-converters, down converters, power amplifiers, waveform generators, RF modulators, and limiters.

  • Experience with automated test scripts and software tools.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

  • Experience in applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) methods in achieving production yield improvements.

  • Experience with any of the following tools: MATLAB, Python, Computer Simulation Technologies (CST), Microwave Design Studio, High Frequency Structure Simulator (HFSS) and Advanced Design System (ADS).

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
