Job Title: Appliance Maintenance Technician
Job Description
The Appliance Maintenance Technician is responsible for Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) of all corded equipment on site, including planning, scheduling, and executing appliance testing. The individual in this role must be available for on-call work and will oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of building appliances. Additionally, the technician will perform preventive maintenance, check malfunctioning equipment, and assist other departments with the maintenance and repair of heating and cooling systems.
Responsibilities
Perform Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) for all corded equipment on site.
Plan, schedule, and execute appliance testing.
Be available for on-call work.
Oversee the general operation, repair, and maintenance of building appliances.
Perform preventive maintenance tasks.
Check malfunctioning equipment and implement corrective actions.
Assist other departments with the maintenance and repair of heating and cooling valves, water cooling equipment, boilers, heating and hot water equipment, pumps, valves, piping, and filters.
Essential Skills
Experience as a maintenance technician.
Proficiency in appliance repair, electrical maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Skills in preventive maintenance and PAT Testing.
Basic maintenance and troubleshooting abilities.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in a biomedical facility or GMP environment is a plus.
Experience as a electrical apprentice is a plus.
Familiarity with BMS and CMMS systems.
Skilled and physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on ladders, carry tools, lift and carry heavy loads, and operate required equipment.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Proficiency in basic computer application software such as MS Office, Outlook, and Work Order Systems.

Work Environment
The working environment includes a pharmaceutical manufacturing location. The position may require off-hours shifts, evening, night, and weekend work. A minimum of a high school diploma is required, with a college or technical degree preferred. The role demands a team player with good interpersonal skills and the physical ability to handle various maintenance tasks.
Shift : 7 am - 3:30 pm

The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $40.00
