Robert Half EHS Officer in Anderson, South Carolina

Description

We are in search of a proficient EHS Officer to add to our manufacturing team located in Anderson, South Carolina. As an EHS Officer, you will be instrumental in executing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring adherence to safety standards in our workplace.

Responsibilities:

• Take charge of the development and implementation of OHSA policies and programs.

• Offer guidance and training on a variety of safety-related topics, including noise levels and machinery usage.

• Ensure that preventative measures are enforced following risk assessment.

• Regularly review and update policies and measures in line with current legislation.

• Organize and conduct OHSA training sessions for employees and executives.

• Perform regular inspections of premises and personnel work to detect non-conformities such as failure to use protective equipment.

• Oversee the installation, maintenance, and disposal of substances.

• Collaborate with HR and Department Heads to ensure safety standards are met across all departments.

• Utilize ERP Solutions and CRM to maintain accurate records and streamline processes.

• Ensure compliance with OSHA Safety and other relevant safety guidelines.

Requirements

• The role of the EHS Officer requires proficiency in CRM to manage and maintain customer relationships effectively.

• A working knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning is crucial for efficient business process management.

• Experience in Manufacturing is required to understand the production process and its safety needs.

• Proficiency in Environmental Safety is necessary to maintain a safe and healthy work environment.

• Applicants must have a solid understanding of OSHA Safety regulations and requirements.

• Knowledge of Safety Gear is vital to ensure proper protective equipment is used in the work environment.

• Understanding Safety Guidelines is important to ensure all safety protocols are followed.

• Experience with Safety Inspections is necessary to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.

• Proficiency in Safety Management Systems is required to plan, implement, and supervise the company's safety program.

• Familiarity with Safety Standards is necessary to ensure all operations adhere to industry and legal safety requirements.

• Experience working with an HR Department is critical to coordinate effectively on safety training, policies, and employee concerns.

• Knowledge of HR Policy is important for alignment with company rules and regulations regarding employee safety.
