Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail- oriented Passenger and Commercial Tire Technician to join our team. This position involves performing tire inspections, scrap tire analysis, maintenance and repair services for passenger, commercial and off the road vehicles. The Ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service; along with basic general service functions on customer vehicles (all sizes).

*This role pays a competitive hourly wage plus commission

Responsibilities

TIRE SERVICE

  • Mounting, balancing, rotating, and repairing all types of tires on all sizes of vehicles both within the store and customersites.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of tires to identify wear patterns, damage and proper inflation levels. Perform necessary maintenance to ensure safety and performance.

  • Clean and paint used tires and place in used tire stock.

  • Provide Friendly and professional service to customers, answering questions and addressing concerns regarding tire maintenance and safety.

  • Use tire changing machines, balancers and other shop equipment safely and effectively. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.

  • Drive to customer locations or provide roadside service for inspections and tire repair.

  • Responding to emergency roadside tire service calls

  • Responsible for safe operation of company vehicles including compliance with speed and traffic regulations.

  • Assisting with drive up work at store locations

  • Section repairs.

  • Fleet inspections.

  • Ensure truck is adequately supplied with tubes, repair materials, and replacement tires before departing store location to handle service calls.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE

  • Ensure that service truck, all tools and equipment are in good operating condition.

  • Perform pre trip vehicle inspections at the beginning of each work day and immediately report operating problems or mechanical defects to the Service Manager.

  • Check all fluid levels in truck and air compressor duringpre-tripinspection.

  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness (inside & out).

  • Performs general service work specific to alignments on vehicles using fixed and mobile equipment.

  • Advises sales representatives concerning possible issues and makes recommendations.

GENERAL SERVICE

  • Stock and assist with physical inventory.

  • Unload and load tire and related items from truck as required.

  • Attend meetings held by Store Service Manager.

  • Accurately Document services performed, parts used and customer information

  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Use personal protective equipment (PPE)as required.

  • Work Collaboratively with other technicians and staff to achieve service goals and maintain a clean, organized work area.

  • Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to improve technical skills and product knowledge.

  • Maintain equipment in good working order and notify manager immediately of any defects.

  • Any other duties asassigned

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • Willingness to complete a federal background check, drug screen and physical required.

  • Previous passenger, commercial tire experience.

  • Valid driver's license with no restrictions and good driving record required.

  • Must be able to lift and/or move tires weighing between 30-250 lbs. with or without mechanical assistance.

  • Repetitive and sustained exertions, forceful exertions, awkward postures, mechanical stress concentrations, vibrations.
