Security Analyst:

• We are currently seeking three dedicated and knowledgeable Security Analysts for our Anchorage, Alaska based client.

• These positions are for a duration of 1 year, with a strong possibility of extension.

• This will be a 100% remote engadgement, working typical Alaska business hours Monday through Friday 9 - 5 AKT

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate third-party service provider written responses and documentation supporting NIST 800-53 control objectives across multiple security domains including access control, contingency planning, personnel security, physical security, incident response, vulnerability management, and logging and reporting.

• Review and evaluate service provider policies and procedures to ensure they meet security control requirements.

• Review and evaluate third-party service provider network diagrams and data flow diagrams connected to the clinet network security controls.

• Review and evaluate third-party vendor software security controls.

• Conduct video conference calls with vendors as needed to review configuration control settings and other supporting controls.

• Assign risk ratings to those controls determined not to satisfy client security requirements.

• Prepare written third-party security assessment reports (SARs) with a recommendation to operate (Authority to Operate), conditionally operate (Conditional Authority to Operate), or not be permitted to operate due to overall high risk.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a similar role.

• Strong understanding of NIST 800-53 control objectives.

• HIPAA certification would be helpful.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
