Position : Laboratory Technician/Analyst

We are seeking a Laboratory Technician/Analyst to join our Anchorage, AK team! Come join us!
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Perform sample analysis on various sample types and fields of testing in laboratory setting
Inspect client projects and samples for acceptance by making sure all required and necessary information are present
Contact clients for items such as payment, contact information, questions regarding samples or analysis types.
Log in projects to LIMS system
Calculate due dates based on turnaround times and organize projects based on priority for lab analysis
Prepare samples for analysis based on sample matrix and field of testing
Follow company SOPs for sample analysis procedures using correct methods
Prepare and Analyze Asbestos Air (PCM) samples in accordance with the NIOSH 7400 (V3) method
Prepare and Analyze Bulk Asbestos (PLM) samples using the EPA 600/R-93/116 and 40 CFR Appendix E to Subpart E of Part 763 Prepare and Analyze Air, Paint, and Dust Wipe samples for Lead using methods: NIOSH 7082, EPA SW-846 Method 3050B / 700B and ASTM 1644 respectively
Enter data into LIMS system as analysis is completed to generate final report
Complete all required QC and equipment calibrations
Prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Work independently and as part of a team to successfully complete all daily tasks
Send completed reports to clients
Document any non-conformities and inform management of out-of-control events
Wear proper PPE, handle samples with care and caution, avoiding cross contamination
Answer phones, sample pick up from airport and sample drop offs at FedEx
Attention to detail, good organizational skills and ability to multitask
Participate in company safety program
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
No experience required
Preferred Experience:
Science background, BS or BSA in a natural, life, or physical science
At least one-year analytical laboratory experience
Microscopy or Flame AA Spectroscopy experience is a plus
Will provide training to the right individual
