A Healthcare facility in Anchorage is immediately hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist.
Accounts Payable Specialists are responsible for validating and processing supplier invoices and employee expense reports while maintaining accounting controls. Additionally, they will do online invoice matching as well as electronically routing invoices for approval.
The Accounts Payable Specialist will also maintain excellent communications with vendors, company buyers and internal customers. They must thrive in a high volume, fast paced, evolving environment.
The ideal candidates possess strong organizational and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, the ability to multitask and needs to work well independently, as well as within a team setting.
In addition to a strong knowledge of accounts payable, the ideal candidate will have an overall understanding of accounting principles.
Essential Job Duties Include:
- Preparing and maintaining proper records for all accounts payable
- Investigating discrepancies
- Preparing various internal payroll reports
- Following standard accounting practices and procedures
- Reconciling bank statements
- Data entry and 10-key typing skills with accuracy
This is a full-time position, Monday -Friday 8am-5pm with pay starting at $26/HR depending on experience.
Requirements
- High school diploma/equivalent
- 2 years of AP experience
- Strong computer skills - Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Background will be viewed
- Drug free environment
